MassWare (Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Systems Middleware) is an extension of AwareWare to wireless mobile networks and sensor networks, where network and hardware resources are extremely constraint and the resource availability is dynamic. The challenging environments invalidate existing context-aware reflective middleware systems due to their long reconfiguration time. MassWare supports multiple component-chains and provides an active-messaged based synchronization protocol to significantly reduce the reconfiguration time for distributed mobile systems.
