AwareWare is context-aware adaptive middleware for robust collaborations across resource-abundant desktop and workstation platforms. We call it AwareWare since it enables distributed applications to be aware of and then adapt to changing contexts. AwareWare approach provides a framework for constructing new adaptive applications, where the adaptation mechanisms are handled largely by the middleware. The middleware approach provides a clear separation of concern for functional codes and adaptation-related codes, also promotes a generic architecture for building adaptive applications and software reuse.
